Tripcy’s Sunflower Field 

Winter is nearly here. 

Tripcy is a bear who likes to take trips.Every winter he sleeps in the ground until the warm spring comes. 

It is finally spring and Tripcy comes outof his hole under the ground.

“Oh no! What happened?! The forest isgone!” 

Tripcy walked around and found a smallsprout growing out of the ground.

“Good, spring has come.” 

The small sprout grew bigger and bigger… 

And bloomed into a beautiful sunflower!

“Wow, it is as bright as the sun! I want toshow this sunflower to all of my friends. It would be wonderful if there weremore sunflowers here!” 

Tripcy packed his bag full of seeds anddecided to go and see his friends. 

Let’s grow many sunflowers,

Let’s grow many together,

Let’s make more seeds so that we can haveone great sunflower field! 

“Look, it’s Tripcy!”

“Hello! I have picked sunflower seeds andnow I want to grow sunflowers for us all!”

“That’s wonderful! What can I do?”

“When your sunflowers bloom, can you sendthe seeds to my post box?”

“Of course!” 

“Thanks! I’ll be waiting for your seeds inthe mail.”

Trot-trot-trot, through a grove Tripcy wentto Mr. Fox,

“Hi Mr. Fox, here are your seeds.” 

Hop-hop-hop, down the river Tripcy went toMr. Raccoon,

“Hi Mr. Raccoon, here are your seeds.”

Sway-sway-sway, over a hanging bridgetripcy went to the little mice,

“Hi little mice, here are your seeds.” 

Slosh-slosh-slosh, across the sea Tripcywent to Mr. Monkey,

“Hi Mr. Monkey, here are your seeds.”

Rustle-rustle-rustle, through a fieldTripcy went to Mr. Squirrel,

“Hi Mr. Squirrel, here are your seeds.”

“Yippee! Can I eat them?”

“Yes, but you must leave some to plant inthe ground.”

“Okay, wait for my seeds in the mail!” 

As Autumn arrived all of the seeds weredelivered to Tripcy. 

“Let’s invite everyone when the sunflowersbloom!”

Tripcy said as he planted the seeds.

“Grow, sunflowers, grow” he whispered tothem. 

Summer arrived and the sunflowers grew sotall they almost hid Tripcy! 

Everyone came to see Tripcy.

“Wow, which sunflower is mine?”

“It’s a sunflower family!”

“Now we’re a big family!”

Everyone sang the sunflower field songtogether, happily and cheerfully.
